Find my battery

About Accord Energy

Accord Energy is an independent guide to one thing: the battery in your Honda Accord. Not tires, not trim levels — batteries. We started it because finding the right battery for an Accord is needlessly confusing. The group size changes by year and engine, the dealer quote is double what a good battery costs, and most "which battery" pages are vague enough to sell you the wrong one.

What we do. We map out exactly which battery fits each Accord generation — group size, cold-cranking amps, flooded vs AGM — and show you what a fair replacement costs, how to swap it yourself, and what to do when the car won't start. Every fitment figure is cross-checked against the BCI group-size standard, manufacturer specifications, and retailer fitment data, and we tell you plainly when you should confirm against the label on your own battery.

Who's behind it. Accord Energy is written and maintained by Kevin Doyle, a Honda Accord owner who does his own battery, alternator, and charging-system work. No call center and no fabricated titles — just one owner who got tired of guessing at group sizes and decided to write the page he wished he'd had.

What we are not. We're not Honda, and we're not a dealership. We don't post fake reviews or invent mechanic credentials. When we recommend a battery, it's because it fits and performs — and we tell you the trade-offs, including price. Some links to retailers are affiliate links; see our Affiliate Disclosure. They never change what we recommend or what you pay.
